Neither Here Nor There

Neither Here Nor There - Bill Bryson For me, the nontravel books of Bryson's are exceptional, but I don't quite believe Bryson is temperamentally suited for writing good travel guides.

He seems more like a researcher who enjoys long spells at home, one who gets easily lost and frustrated like me in foreign places, except that he has a budget, a goal and a long list of guidebooks to carry, with no real patience or interest in reaching the destination.
